Two friends reunite after sixteen years, but neither is the same as before. Both are in relationships, but very different ones. Nacho and Marta are a bourgeois couple with a comfortable life, excellent jobs, and a high social status in Barcelona, but they are unhappy because they can’t have a child. The other couple, Denis and Carme, are more liberal and free-spirited, but live day-to-day and are struggling to raise money to open a restaurant. When the option arises for Carme to be their surrogate in exchange for the money they need to start their dream business, both couples must confront their prejudices and search for the happiness they’ve been missing, even if it means breaking their own rules… even when the pregnancy is already well advanced.
